Urban Fairies

Providing 6 months of trauma-informed, relaxation focused, yoga classes for a group of low-income mothers, as part of their “Mom Lifing” program for young mothers living on Staten Island, NY.

Urban Fairies’ Mom Lyfing program is an ongoing parenting and caregiver support initiative serving families across Staten Island. Adding a relaxation focused yoga class will offer much needed respite and mental health tools to mothers and caregivers who are parenting young children while navigating chronic stressors such as financial insecurity, housing instability, caregiving burnout, and limited access to wellness or mental health supports.
