The People’s Kitchen is creating a pilot program for a “shared cell phone support system” for houseless individuals living in Colorado.  

This program will provide 24 prepaid phones to houseless people, allowing them to remain in contact with necessary resources including social workers, probation officers, housing assistance and many others that are often inaccessible without a phone.

The People's Kitchen is a grassroots organization based in Denver, Colorado working to feed, clothe, and house all who may need it by means of mutual aid and generosity. Serving Denver metro's unhoused community, The People's Kitchen helps participants navigate resource applications and programs, provides care packages and emergency severe weather supplies to participants, and prepares hot food for distribution to the Denver unhoused community.
