BEDSIDE YOGA AND MINDFULNESS WITH
CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
The children and families receiving care at the Stony Brook Children's Hospital will have a special visitor every Monday. Lilie Perito will go room to room sharing adaptive yoga, breathing and meditation practice every week for an hour and a half. Lilie has been working with sick and disabled children since a child when her mom would take her to work on her home health care pediatric cases and she has a special way of bringing fun and calm to each room she visits!

"Sharing yoga with any population is a joy but offering breath and asana to patients at Stony Brook Children's hospital is one of the most rewarding gifts I can share. Working with parents and siblings who are frequently at the hospital while there loved ones battle life threatening illness is pretty stressful. Offering breathing, stretching and meditation puts some prana back into a room that needs the life force energy most! If I can help make one person feel just a little bit better it is worth it!"

Special thanks to the team at Stony Brook Children's Hospital for working so hard to make sure that the children and families have access to practice!
