OUR KARMA PROJECT
YOGA for TEEN BOYS in ALTERNATIVE to INCARCERATION SCHOOL
THE ROCAWAYS, NY

Picture

The teens that Isaac will be offering Yoga to are students in a specialized school that works with boys to keep them out of the juvenille detention and prison systems.  Isaac's passion for offering tools for self awareness and recognizing each persons inner beauty are sure to have a profound impact.  A compassionate Dharma Yoga Teacher, Isaac came to the practice through Hip Hop music and currently offers his unique and inspiring teachings at the Manhattan Detention Center and around the NYC area.

OUR TEACHER
ISAAC TECOSKY

Picture
Isaac Tecosky practices Yoga to study why it is we suffer and how to prevent further suffering. Isaac teaches Yoga to share whatever it is he has learned along the way. He believes compassion, self study, and a little angry determination are tools to help ignite knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. He is a student and teacher of Dharma Yoga, living and teaching in the greater New York area.

ST. JOHN'S RESIDENCE

St. John’s has two major programs at its main campus in Rockaway Park, Queens, NY: A Residential Treatment Center (RTC) and a Close to Home Program (NSP). The administrative offices, treatment services and on-grounds school are located at our Rockaway Park campus. In addition to the Rockaway Park based programs, St. John’s also operates a Close to Home Program in Bayside, Queens and a Non Secure Detention group home in Richmond Hill, Queens for youth awaiting adjudication.  The goal of all of their programs is to reunite each youth with his family, relatives or some other appropriate and supportive resource.
