      <image:title>2024 KARMA PROJECTS - Farmers Feeding Veterans</image:title>
<image:caption>Farmers Feeding Veterans is an extension of a community outreach initiative started by Tanya Moyer and the TAG Group, in honor of her Veteran father, providing nutrient dense meals made with local, holistically raised meats, packaged and delivered by Veterans, to the homes of local Veterans and their families. The food is sourced entirely from local farms and the meals are designed to be easily frozen and reheated. Each meal intentionally offers four large servings, encouraging Veterans to share the meals with family and friends, and ensuring leftovers for tomorrow. With the support of United We Om, Tanya is creating multiple meals for more than 30 Veteran families living in Montgomery County, NY. Thank you Tanya for being such an amazing example of what it means to live in community.</image:caption>

Dr. L'Erario received their medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and their Master of Social Work from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service. Additionally, Dr. L'Erario completed their neurology training at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center. Their clinical and research interests are working with LGBTQ+ people living with Functional Neurological Disorder. Dr. L'Erario facilitates the nation's first LGBTQ+ support group at FND Hope, and their work regarding LGBTQ+ healthcare has been presented at major international conferences and published in Scientific American, Psychiatric Times, and the Journal of Child Neurology, among others. Zachary Grin (DPT, Clinic Physical Therapist), pictured center left, is a physical therapist who provides evidence-based outpatient physical therapy services to patients living with various Functional Neurological Disorders. During his time working as a physical therapist for a large hospital system, he frequently encountered people with Functional Neurological Disorder receiving poor medical management and treatment options, leading him to open his own private practice dedicated to people living with this complex health condition. He is also an international speaker providing hospital systems, clinicians, and students with the knowledge needed to treat and support people living with Functional Neurological Disorder. Christian Amlang (MD, Clinic Neurologist), pictured center right, is movement disorders neurologist at SUNY Downstate. He has conducted research on neuropsychiatric symptoms and neurophysiologic changes in a variety of movement disorders, studying emotional processing in Huntington’s disease, visuo-spatial perception in cervical dystonia, and reward-based learning and risk behavior in cerebellar ataxia. Clinically, he has treated a large number of individuals with Functional Neurological Disorder. He has witnessed firsthand that most patients cannot be adequately treated which leads to chronification and frequently worsening of symptoms. Therefore, he believes the mission of the FMD Interdisciplinary Clinic is crucial to improving FMD patient outcomes. Danielle Kipnis (MA, CYI-200, Clinic Yoga Instructor), pictured right, is a yoga instructor and PhD student in kinesiology at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her work focuses on integrative movement therapies for individuals with Functional Neurological Disorder. Through training in trauma-informed yoga practices, she has implemented methods of yoga instruction for people with neurological conditions and her research is the first to examine yoga as a rehabilitative treatment for people with Functional Neurological Disorder. She aims to describe and codify these methods through research, implement them in clinical practice, and train other yoga instructors in the methodology who are in the neurorehabilitation field.</image:caption>

      <image:title>SPRING 2026 KARMA PROJECTS - Neighborhood Companions - Meet the Neighborhood Companions</image:title>
<image:caption>Creating inter-generational connection and knowledge sharing through the expansion of a community garden. Neighborhood Companions is a nonprofit serving older adults in Maryland. In meaningful partnership with a local Girl Scout Troop, a College Sorority and community seniors, the collective of change makers, Neighborhood Companions, are serving their community by providing much needed access to local produce for food banks, while simultaneously nurturing connections and community across generations. This Karma Project will provide raised beds to allow the seniors easier access to the gardens, as well as necessary garden supplies and logistic support, ensuring years of intergenerational gardening and instilling a passion for serving others into the next generation.</image:caption>

      <image:title>SPRING 2026 KARMA PROJECTS - SOAR Experiences - How SOAR Experiences Began</image:title>
<image:caption>In 2019, two paraplegic guests came to our off road driving school, Northeast Off Road Adventures (NORA)-hoping to learn to drive off road using temporary hand controls. We installed them in a Jeep, and the experience was transformative. Encouraged by their feedback, we built accessible infrastructure and launched our first Adaptive Sampler for 15 guests from Helen Hayes Hospital. That event was featured in a Wheels2Walking video that now has over 160,000 views. This year we are offering over 29 adaptive hikes at locations throughout New York State, eastern Connecticut and will soon be expanding to New Jersey and Long Island this fall.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Wildland Ecotech is a 501(c)(3) restoring land scarred by wildfire and pollution. In Colorado, we build beaver dam analogs and water catchment structures across 1,000+ acres of burn scar, planting trees and reducing wildfire risk. In New York, we steward recovering wetlands near a Superfund site. Since 2020 we've sequestered hundreds of tons of CO2 and connected over 50 volunteers with local land owners.</image:caption>

<image:title>SPRING 2026 KARMA PROJECTS - Beauty Beyond Bars - About Beauty Beyond Bars</image:title>
<image:caption>Beauty Beyond Bars was first envisioned by Lea Nepomuceno, who recognized the need for beauty and hygiene accessibility in correctional facilities during her interviews with formerly incarcerated people as part of Youth for Juvenile Justice Reform. At Beauty Beyond Bars, Lea is meeting incarcerated people where they are — detention centers, jails, and prisons — to deliver essential beauty and hygiene products. Beauty Beyond Bars believes that beauty goes beyond that of appearances. It is about restoring human dignity in the criminal justice system.</image:caption>
