TEENS IN RESIDENTIAL FOSTER CARE
The children living at the Mercy First Foster Care Facility are bright, funny and strong. They attend school and live together on the campus of the facility, separated from their families and friends. Many of the children have experienced or witnessed abuse or trauma, and live with the resonance of it every day.
The mindfulness, breathing and connection to community that yoga practice provides creates a safe space for the boys to relax and find their still point. We've been sharing practice with the boys at Mercy First since 2016.
