YOGA AND MEDITATION FOR
ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE RECOVERY
Yoga is a powerful tool in substance abuse recovery, helping to prevent relapse, reduce withdrawal symptoms and drug cravings, while providing a healthy outlet and tools to help handle the triggers and stressors that challenge recovery. Having walked through addiction into recovery herself, Kim will share the physical, mental and spiritual practices of Yoga from a place of deep understanding and compassion in this outpatient recovery program at Mather Hospital.
OUR TEACHER
"I know how grueling the grips of addiction can be, and how impossible it seems to get sober. If it weren't for yoga, I don't know if I would have been able to overcome my reliance on alcohol. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity to share the healing practice of yoga, with hopes of helping these beautiful souls in their journey to recovery." - Kimberly Hoebeler
Kim has been teaching yoga for over 7 years, is a nutrition counselor, the owner of Aloha Yoga and Healing Studio
and has been sober for two and a half years.
