United We Om believes deeply in the transformative power of Yoga and Meditation and we seek to expand that life-changing impact from the experience of the individual to the collective whole.
We see the practice of Yoga and Meditation as a powerful antidote to the suffering of our modern world. Yoga and Meditation have been clinically shown to have a powerful ability to facilitate healing and reduce stress. We believe these practices should belong to anyone who will benefit from them, regardless of financial and social boundaries. We are devoted to making that possible.
United We Om envisions the whole Yoga and Meditation community playing a part in the offering of practice to the needy and under-resourced. We believe that together we will amplify the positive shift already occurring among those that practice and inspire the Yoga and Meditation community to embody the teaching:
Lokha Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu, "commit your actions to the end of suffering and the freedom and happiness of all beings."
United We Om's actions are rooted in sustainability, with the goal of providing the benefits of practice to all who need it.
Our Karma Projects send inspired and specially trained Yoga and Meditation teachers into the neediest populations including foster care children, veterans struggling with PTS, the homeless, low income communities, sufferers of trauma and mental illness.
Our by-donation classes and events create a place where anyone can practice as a part of a community, regardless of their financial means. They allow us to fulfill our greater work of providing practice to all in need, while simultaneously helping to fund our Karma Projects and furthering our vision of the Yoga and Meditation community supporting their teachers in offering practice to the underserved.
Our specialized trainings and workshops empower teachers to lead from the heart and to be of service to our world and their classes, regardless of their financial circumstances.
