YOGA AND MEDITATION FOR
FORMERLY INCARCERATED WOMEN
The women in residence with the NonProfit Living Water for Women are formerly incarcerated in the jail system. They have found a place at living water in the hopes of working through the challenges in their lives, from drug addiction to homelessness, that have led to their incarceration. Our class offers techniques from Yoga for Recovery methods such as controlled breathing and mindful movement and meditation to support the women in their journey.
OUR TEACHER
"My Philosophy is that the study of Yoga is an act of self-love and transformation. With the gift of breath and movement students can explore their internal world while gaining tools to help them navigate life in a healthier way."
Laura Nowicki is a member of the recovery community and a survivor of life threatening depression. She is committed to bringing yoga to a diverse range of populations.
